Cascara Sagrada - 14 Veg Capsules- 600mg

Contains emodin, which has antiviral and anticancerr properties. Cascara Sagrada is used primarily as a laxative and stimulates the peristaltic action of the intestine. This wavelike motion moves waste through the intestine. This property helps restore the proper tone and health of the intestines by pushing waste out of diverticula pouches that develop in the intestinal wall. This helps restore the mucous lining and health of the intestine. Cascara Sagrada has been used in traditional medicine to improve stomach, liver, and pancreas secretions and to break up and remove gallstones from the gallbladder.
 
Medical Caution: Do not use if you have or develop diarrhia or abdominal pain. Women who are pregnant or nursing are advised to avoid cascara sagrada because it can induce labor, and lactating women can pass on the compound via breastfeeding. It is very important not to exceed recomended doses to avoid liver damage. Cascara Sagrada use has been shown to be safe and useful within recommended usage.
General dosage: One or Two capsules, preferably at bedtime.
