Has anti-aromatase and antianxiety properties.  Both men and women  use Damiana to strengthen the sexual organs and boost sexual drive and potency.  The anti-aromatase property blocks androstenedione and estrone conversion to estrogen.  Damiana is used to help control estrogen related illness in women like breast cancer and fibroids.  Women also use it to reduce hot flashes associated with menopause.  It also helps balance estrogen and supports testosterone levels in men.  Damiana increases oxygen delivery to the genitals, resulting in increased libido.  Damiana is also used to treat depression and nervousness and to relieve anxiety associated with sexual dysfunction.
